Here at Little Beauty we love our country and our flora and fauna.
Consequently, environmental safekeeping is an absolute priority.

Actually, we're very proud Little Beauty is made using 100% Sustainable Winegrowing techniques - and the vineyard has been awarded New Zealand's 100% Sustainable Accreditation.

Further, resource management is always at the forefront of our daily agenda. As such, the vineyard boasts one of the most sophisticated irrigation infrastructures in the region - thus giving us greater flexibility and improved management of water resources.

In addition, we've installed a very advanced climatic monitoring network across the vineyard.  At 15 minute intervals, via a radio mesh network and using hardware from Campbell Scientific, we collect a series of climatic data variables.  This includes;

Ground temperature
Canopy temperature
Soil moisture
Evapo-transpiration
Rainfall
Wind speed
Wind direction

Not only do we get a real kick out of seeing all this info, but importantly, it supports our day-to-day viticultural decisions.  So, we're taking advantage of technology to work in harmony with Mother Nature....cool huh.
